Amazon Pay

Amazon PayAmazon is promoting its payments solution with an email marketing campaign targeted at small businesses. With the “Success beyond Small Business Saturday” subject line, the email from Amazon Pay encourages sellers to learn more about how Amazon helps small businesses:

The email links to a landing page describing the benefits of Amazon Pay. “The convenient, trusted way to pay: Amazon Pay makes it simple for hundreds of millions of customers around the globe to pay for products and services using the information already stored in their Amazon accounts. It’s a familiar buying experience from a brand customers know and trust.”

The landing page also describes how Amazon Pay can:

– Increase your customer reach
– Help reduce cart abandonments
– Match the way your customers like to shop

And while merchants can add Amazon Pay to their online store’s checkout, we notice it also mentions voice – Amazon is working hard for its Alexa voice technology to be the industry standard in all devices from all manufacturers – not just its own voice-powered devices: “Make it easy for customers to buy wherever they are, however they like to shop – online, mobile, or voice,” Amazon told small businesses.
