Poshmark Offers Webinars on Hosting Live-Selling Events

Poshmark is offering webinars to teach sellers how to host live-selling events called Posh Shows. In an email kicking off the New Year this week, Poshmark said, “Intro to Posh Shows is a beginner-friendly class where you’ll learn how to go live for the first time and how to utilize the different features to maximize your show.”

Sellers who want to bypass the waiting list to become a host can attend the Intro to Posh Shows webinars.

Posh Shows are live events where sellers host an auction-style show and shoppers bid on their items. When Poshmark officially announced Posh Shows in April 2023, it wrote in part:

“Posh Shows enables people to live stream on Poshmark for the first time, leveraging the power of live video to sell items from their Poshmark closet and reach an established community of more than 100 million users.

“Like Poshmark, Posh Shows are designed to make selling simple and social. With an easy-to-use interface and a unique suite of selling tools, Posh Shows allows anyone to get started and make sales, while offering an experience that captures the fun and energy of shopping with your friends. Designed for every fashion reseller, regardless of the size of their closet or number of followers, Posh Shows is a first-of-its-kind live selling product that can empower anyone to succeed with just a closet and a phone.”

Poshmark users have discussed Posh Shows on Reddit – in some threads, such as this Reddit discussion, people said the number of Posh Show notifications in their feeds were annoying. In another Reddit thread, sellers shared tips on hosting a successful Posh Show.

The first Posh Show webinar of 2024 will be hosted on January 3rd via Zoom, followed by events on January 10, and two on January 17th.

  1. The Posh Shows are overly saturated and bunched together. The buyer has to build up its following in order to get a good audience. And the buyer can “show” as long as all day 24/7. There is no time limit.
