After tallying your nominations, the voting is now open for the 2019 Sellers Choice Awards. My favorite part is the comments section where sellers provide an insider’s look and detail the pros and cons of each venue on which they sell. You get to leave the feedback, for a change!

This year, there was a tie for last place, so you’ll notice there are 11 marketplaces instead of the normal 10. You can find out who made the cut (there are two new faces this year) and take the 2019 Sellers Choice survey here via SurveyMonkey, and we’ll bring you the results in next month’s issue.

Each January we also talk to industry players about ecommerce trends. Eight experts and representatives of ecommerce service providers participated in this year’s Online Selling Trends feature, published in today’s issue. They identified challenges and opportunities facing sellers in the coming year and also offered some advice for sellers on how to navigate them.

There’s also plenty of meat-and-potatoes in each contribution covering issues including shipping, online sales tax issues, product sourcing, and online marketplaces – after all, this isn’t an academic exercise.

We’re entering our 20th year of publishing EcommerceBytes – that also means some of you have been selling online for 20 years or longer! This year, we’ll go back into the archives and dig up some treasures and get nostalgic for the good old days of ecommerce.

Thanks for being here as we celebrate 20 years of bringing news and tips to online sellers. And please visit SurveyMonkey now to rate the venues on which you sell for this year’s Sellers Choice Awards.
