An analytics tool for eBay sellers has gotten a major upgrade this week. The eBay Listing Analytics app gives sellers a dashboard showing their sales performance and is designed to help them improve their listings, thereby boosting their sales. While the tool is developed by longtime third-party developer Terapeak, the tool is housed inside eBay’s Applications tab.
Terapeak explained that eBay sellers can use the newly upgraded Listing Analytics app to visually track traffic and sales trends with a graphical overview of total impressions, clicks, sales and daily selling price for all eBay marketplaces in which they participate.
The dashboard also displays the increase or decrease in sales and revenue over selected time periods, the percentage of impressions that led to clicks, and the percentage of clicks that converted to sales.
Terapeak told EcommerceBytes the free tool is used by 2.1 million eBay sellers, who can drill down into the data to compare listings or sales results over time and identify the causes of performance changes in any area.
Individual listings in each category can be sorted by factors ranging from the number of impressions, clicks or sales to price and other listing attributes to facilitate analysis, the company explained.
Terapeak has been working with eBay for over 10 years to provide market research and analytics to online sellers. It also provides tools for Amazon merchants.
Sellers use Terapeak tools to evaluate product pricing, sourcing opportunities, market trends, and product behavior across regions, and to monitor competition.
