eBay Canada Updates Privacy Policy

eBayeBay Canada announced it updated its user privacy policy this month, stating it had clarified language about its advertising and marketing communications provision.

The announcement follows:

Updates to the User Privacy Notice (formerly known as Privacy Policy) were posted on www.ebay.ca on June 2, 2017.

The updated User Privacy Notice is effective immediately for new users and on July 2, 2017, for current users. Following July 2, 2017, your use of the eBay platform constitutes consent to the revised policy for existing users.

Key update to the eBay User Privacy Notice:

– Advertising and marketing communications. We have clarified the language in this section to help make our practices easier to understand.

We encourage you to review the updated User Privacy Notice to familiarize yourself with the updates.

You don’t need to take any further action to accept the updated User Privacy Notice. If you do not agree to the amendments, you should stop using eBay and the www.ebay.ca and www.cafr.ebay.ca sites, as applicable, and terminate the eBay User Agreement by closing your eBay account. If you choose not to accept the new terms, visit this help page for further direction.
