Shippo Custom Tracking Helps Merchants Engage with Buyers

Shippo

Shippo logoShippo launched an improved package-tracking experience for merchants to provide their customers, and merchants can also use it as a marketing tool. Tracking Pages lets sellers customize tracking notifications for buyers, allowing them to make recommendations about other items the buyer may be interested in or prompt them to return to their store.

Press release follows:

Shippo today announced the launch of Tracking Pages at the annual Shoptalk conference in Las Vegas. Tracking Pages lets retailers customize tracking notifications for orders and create a more seamless shipping experience as buyers await their items after purchasing them online. Buyers can receive detailed order tracking information through the native look and feel of the brands they trust. Shippo’s Tracking Pages are easy to implement, flexible, and scalable.

Tracking Pages highlights:

– Businesses stay top-of-mind with buyers and engage them during the post-purchase period, proven to be the most optimal time to get their attention, recommend other items, or prompt return visits to their store

– Code-free visual changes: modify and customize visual elements including logos, display ads and social plugins without writing code

– A simple implementation and carrier-agnostic approach that would work no matter what carrier or shipping service retailers are using to deliver packages

“When done right, shipping can help retain loyal buyers at checkout and beyond,” said Laura Behrens Wu, CEO of Shippo. “But without a well-thought-out approach, you will also see customers drop off. Tracking Pages is another way we’re creating a one-stop-shop for shipping—by providing the best order tracking experience to help online retailers connect with and re-engage their buyers.”

Shippo customers to date have shipped more than 50 million packages on its trusted platform, and create hundreds of thousands of new shipping labels each day. The company serves more than 25,000 customers globally including marketplaces such as eBay and Mercari, as well as e-commerce brands Tuft & Needle, MeUndies, and Scheels. Tracking Pages is available today to all present and future Shippo customers.

You can learn more about the new Tracking Pages on the Shippo blog.
