Etsy CEO to Discuss Entrepreneurship in Video Fireside Chat

Etsy is running two Fireside Chats on the topic of entrepreneurship, one with Etsy CEO Chad Dickerson.

The next Fireside Chat will take place on January 19th, and joining host Heather Jassy, who is Etsy Senior Vice President of Members and Community, will be two Brooklyn-based Etsy shop owners, Liz of clock shop 1.by.liz and Ali of clothing shop Shadowplay New York, who will discuss the joys and challenges of running their own businesses.

Etsy invited sellers to post questions on Facebook for the three to address during the chat. Three questions submitted by sellers thus far include:

  • How do you get your shop to move up in rank on Etsy?
  • What would they say are the 3 main key features of a good listing?
  • What has been or what is your best marketing outlet?

The next chat is scheduled for February 2 when Jassy will interview CEO Chad Dickerson about Etsy entrepreneurship.

Previous Fireside Chats have included interviews with Etsy Senior Product Manager Jaime DeLanghe on the topic of Search (November) and with Etsy Policy Director Bonnie Broeren and Etsy Director of Responsible Seller Growth Stephanie Schacht on the topic of reselling and manufacturing policies (October).

The Fireside Chat are available on the Etsy Success YouTube channel.
