PayPal CEO Dan Schulman will host a Facebook Live of PayPal’s Tech Expo with the company’s Chief Technology Officer Sri Shivananda to showcase some of its latest innovations.
The Technology Expo is annual event where technologists across PayPal convene at its headquarters in San Jose to share their latest product innovations and advancements to the technology platform. The event spans two days and includes 70 booths, 20 speaker sessions, 10 technical workshops.
Last year, 3,400 employees attended. This year PayPal is expecting 5,000 attendees. This is the third year PayPal is hosting the event.
For the Facebook Live discussion, Schulman will be interviewing Shivananda to discuss the purpose of the Tech Expo and the importance of innovation within the company. In addition, he will visit a couple of the booths at the Expo to demo some of the technologies on display. This will include the “Pay with Venmo” experience, demoed by Ashley Phillips, product manager at Venmo, and highlights of the latest updates to the platform by the Security team, demoed by security director Beth Cannon.
