eBay Launches Marketing Campaign Called Live 2016

eBay launched a new marketing campaign to capitalize on people’s desire for self-improvement as part of the annual tradition known as the New Year’s resolution. eBay’s “Live 2016” campaign promotes healthy living, including exercising, eating healthy, and decluttering.

eBay launched the Live 2016 campaign in January – you may have received emails and coupons driving you to a landing page with the tag New Year. The landing page encourages people to fuel their passions by making purchases that will help them:

  • Get fit for the New Year
  • Eat healthy
  • Clean home
  • Learn a new language
  • Learn an instrument.

Each of those tasks displayed leads to a sub-landing page devoted to products to help shoppers “fuel” that particular passion. The main New Year landing page also includes search-engine friendly text including a section called “A Time for Renewal”:

“New Year’s Day is the perfect opportunity to establish better life patterns, meet personal goals, pursue passions and treat ourselves and others. Whether you’re looking to maintain a regular fitness regimen, learn a language or spend more time relaxing at the spa, eBay has you covered with New Year’s deals and starter kits for every conceivable resolution. With our vast product categories, you’ll be well on your way to meeting all your targets and aspirations.”

Other sections of SEO-friendly text include Get Fit; Tidy Up; Pursue Your Passions; and Treat Yourself (And Others).

eBay’s affiliate program encourages member publishers to invite their website visitors to focus on their passions in 2016. The benefits are, according to the eBay Partner Network: selection, brands and deals: “Deep discounts, so you can get everything you need to support your passion for less.”
