eBay Tool Inkfrog Is Working to Fix Legacy Software

inkFrog

inkFrogInkFrog co-founder and CEO Greg Sisung responded to reports of a problem with its legacy software, urging customers to move to its new platform after reports came in on Ecommerce EKG about the “classic” version being inaccessible for several days.

Sisung said they are having issues with the inkFrog classic software, which only a small amount of sellers are still using, he said, calling it old software.

“They can move to inkFrog Open at anytime without costing anything (they can tie their classic billing to their open plan) – meaning, they can use both platforms.”

The new software is available to Inkfrog classic users. “InkFrog Open pulls all of their live, unsold, sold listings into the platform automatically (and imports all of those images).”

He said he expects to have most of the classic software working by the end of the day today, but warned the company does not support classic in the same way as InkFrog Open. “We advise everyone to move to Open when possible,” he said.

Update 2/5/18: InkFrog Classic is now back up to 98% functionality with a few things still not 100% working. CEO Greg Sisung said if a customer has a question on how to get live, unsold, or sold back, they should contact support – they need to manually rebuild these pieces by clicking on the “refresh” button in each section of their account, he said.

  1. This is bad business. If they are going to cut-off the Classic, just tell us. Don’t leave us hanging for several days and not compensate for the money lost.

In an email directly from Inkfrog this morning I was told “Unfortunately at this time there is not a way to transfer Classic Library listings, or prefilled profiles to inkFrog Open.”

So they are not offering service to Classic customers. OPEN has bad reviews all over the internet stating its a pain in the a@@. Classic WAS working great.

Time to cancel but they ignore requests for a credit each time sending the same email about having data issues.

Great way to treat your customers inkfrog.

  2. inkfrog open is garbege most users use the classic,,, just check out the facebook page ,,all the users affected by the classic site, inkfrog not working for days will we be billed this month i cant log in for 5 days ,,i sent over 100 emails not one was answered ,,still cant log in i have no interest in using open,

    1. Most users do not use classic – inkFrog Open has tens of thousands of sellers that use it. Classic has a few thousand and dropping monthly. Most companies would not even keep a legacy platform around for as long as we did – we are doing it to try to help as much as possible.

  3. I do not believe Greg is being truthful.
I am always looking for better products and more efficient ways of doing things.
Inkfrog Open is NOT better for ebay only users.
The biggest issue is that you cannot ship from it. Greg may not have noticed but every item we sell needs to be shipped. So that alone makes Inkfrog Open completely useless. Sure, we are told that we can use Shipsaver – BUT Shipsaver is Extremely expensive. You have to Pay Them a Fee everytime you print a label (and – they don’t even give you labels). With Inkfrog Classic, shipping was integrated for no extra charge. I did spend a lot of time this weekend working with Open (as there was no other choice) and found other issues with the software that Classic does not have. Open has been Open for far to long to still be lagging.

    1. @dannyb — there are many other shipping tools you can use. The shipping from inside classic is using ShipSaver. You can use shipsaver directly (it’s free) and the interface is better. Just go to http://www.shipsaver.com and keep that window open in another tab. It will be fast, quick, and the same shipping that is inside classic (only the full user interface). And, it’s free so it costs you nothing more. Note, shipsaver inside inkFrog Open is coming this month. I just saw the latest screen’s from dev and it’s in testing now.

  4. When Ebay went to their active content ban, most everyone who used Inkfrog had major problems. Thank Goodness I never used them. Whether “Open” or “Closed”, this company will soon be out of business. Other glitchy eCommerce entities will suffer the same fate someday.

    ARE YOU LISTENING, Ebay???????????????

  5. HEY GREG I WAS UNABLE TO LIST OR LOG IN FOR 5 DAYS WHY WAS I BILLED TODAY ?,,HOW COME NO ONE ANSWERS EMAIL OR ANY SUPPORT,I WAISTED HOURS OF MY LIFE TRYING TO LOG IN ,SAME AS LAST MONTH WITH ALL ERROR MESSAGES NOT BEING ABLE TO LOG IN ,WHY ARE WE CHARGED WHEN YOUR SITE WORKS FOR HALF A MONTH

  6. inkFrog’s business has never been better. then why not ad phone support your telling me why i did not use open maybe because i have no support no email support im suppose to learn a whole new site with out support
