eBay selected eight finalists for the 2019 Small Business of the Year Award, and final voting is now open for the annual Shine Awards for Small Business. The awards ceremony will take place on July 25 at the eBay Open conference.

We reviewed thousands of submissions and seller stories. Now you get to decide who wins eBay’s 2019 Small Business of the Year.
The Shine Awards for Small Business, sponsored by Intuit Quickbooks, celebrates the most inspiring small businesses and entrepreneurs on eBay. From the eight winners we’ve selected, one will be voted Small Business of the Year. That’s where you come in.
We want to know which Shine Awards winners inspire you most to go above and beyond with your business. Check out each story and vote for your top three favorites.
You can vote once a day from July 15–25 to help them win!
The ceremony will take place on July 25 at eBay Open, where the winner with the most votes will be awarded the Grand Prize. The remaining seven sellers will be named our Platinum and Gold winners, according to how many votes each receives.

I remember when they introduced this as I was still selling there then. I fit the qualifications and so I entered. Then I saw the winner in my category and realized what a farce the whole ‘contest’ was! The winner didn’t qualify in any of the things that would make him qualify to even enter the contest much less win it! One of the many things in my last years that caused me to want to jump ship. I had the same thing happen at a quilt contest I was in. It was judged by someone that had no knowledge of quilts and the item that won also didn’t fit the qualifications to win. I then took my quilt to the local fair where it was judged by judges who knew what to look for and I won a Blue ribbon (First prize)!
eBay has no sense of fairness or what is right. Yearly it gets worse. Soon they will have you list your stuff and all the money comes to them, not you. Stop while you can!
