eBay Helps Brick and Mortar Stores Sell Online

eBay has created some programs to help brick and mortar retailers sell on its marketplace. Not to be confused with its Retail Revival program, Always Open on eBay launched in February with 30 sellers based in New York and the San Francisco Bay Area. There are now 500 sellers in the program, which costs nothing to join.

Participants display literature and signs in their physical stores to remind shoppers that, “even when their physical store is closed, online inventory is always available for purchase.”

eBay explains, “When a potential customer sees the “Always Open on eBay” sign, they can use a phone to scan the QR code on the window display to shop their online inventory, even when the physical store may be closed.”

eBay executive Bob Kupbens said in a recent blog post about the program, “Always Open provides an “always-on” solution for physical retailers, and further establishes our ongoing commitment to supporting small and medium-sized businesses. Our job is to give sellers the tools they need to drive sales and flourish as successful business owners.”

Kupbens said eBay also invited participants from the company’s Retail Revival program to participate.

You can learn more about the program on eBay.com/AlwaysOpen.
