The original deadline for moving to USPS Ground Advantage is days away, but the Postal Service granted shippers some relief by extending the compliance deadline.
The USPS continued to accept and deliver First Class Package Service (FCPS) and Parcel Select Ground packages after July 9th, the date those services merged to form the new USPS Ground Advantage. The Postal Service accepted all legacy products without penalty or assessment through September 30, 2023 – and on Tuesday, it announced it was extending the deadline to October 31, 2023.
On October 1, the USPS Systems will be updated to enable the compliance evaluation for IMpb Barcode Quality (BQ) for USPS Ground Advantage on October 1, 2023.
However, “The grace period for USPS Ground Advantage IMpb noncompliance was initially planned to end September 30, 2023. To provide mailers additional time to comply with USPS Ground Advantage labeling Requirements, the grace period is extended through October 31, 2023.”
so, the ‘F’ will have to be replaced by a ‘G’, as in ‘UPS Ground’.
Thanks for ‘clarifying’ things, USPS (i guess someone else already took the ‘A’)
my, how innovative! Good riddance….
