Mark your calendars: in 2 weeks, eBay will hold a Seller Check-in to discuss the Spring Seller Update. Wednesday’s EcommerceBytes Blog post, where you can make predictions about what changes are coming, has details and a link to our guide to Seller Updates that answers questions such as, what is the eBay Seller Update, when did eBay start its practice of announcing Seller Updates, and where can I find eBay Seller Updates?
Many sellers struggle with and object to the frequency and execution of changes made by selling venues, as readers always make clear in each year’s Sellers Choice Awards.
In today’s issue, we present the results of the 12th annual Sellers Choice Awards for online marketplaces, where sellers gave detailed feedback about the joys and pitfalls of selling.
We get a lot of questions from readers about the best platform on which to sell – this gives you a chance to hear from sellers about their take on online marketplaces. From the traditional marketplaces to social selling apps, readers are not limiting themselves to one platform on which to sell.
If you missed it, tax guru Barbara Weltman wrote a guide on what online sellers need to know about IRS Form 1099-K, found in Monday’s Newsflash.
Tomorrow is President’s Day, post offices are closed and there’s no mail delivery.
Thanks for reading.
Nobody cares about President’s Day. The only day in February the clowns know and care about is the fake “holiday” Valentine’s Day!
Says Covid 19; As a seller I make money on both these days and my buyers are not clowns. Could your problem be your attitude? And, yes, like other sellers I have a lot to complain about–but holidays? Grow up.
Have fun wasting money on “gifts” then. Honk honk! Clown world.
Funny, I hear that we are not having anymore President Days until we get one….
That made me LOL, thank you!
Agreed @voodoolily01 Covid is a regular “Contributor” in these comments. They are for the most part trollish. As an eBay seller of 22+ years now, the platform has certainly evolved. There are too many sellers, including myself, that regret putting so many eggs in the eBay basket. But I have figured out how to make a modest income doing it. I deal with the same BS every other seller has to, as well. The hardest pill to swallow is the lack of respect I feel like I get from eBay. If I could start all over again, I would have kept more eggs in the my own business website that did 7 figure sales at one point in its life. But eBay and Amazon created so much low hanging fruit that I got distracted.
