eBay aired its weekly podcast on Tuesday and revealed it is changing the name of the podcast from “eBay for Business” to “eBay for Sellers” to be more inclusive.
It’s unclear if that will also apply to the eBay for Business channels on social media, and surprisingly the question didn’t come up in the Facebook thread about Tuesday’s episode. It’s more difficult to rebrand a social media handle, so stay tuned.
This week’s guest on the eBay for Business podcast was seller advocate, Chuck Van Pelt from eBay’s Seller Advocacy Team. He discussed recent enhancements to the selling side of the mobile app, some of which were announced during the recent Winter eBay Seller Update.
Podcast cohost Brian Burke shared a little bit of the reaction eBay got to the changes announced in the recent Update. He said there was “a little bit of consternation” about the fee increase, and said he was surprised that a change to Seller Initiated Offer that was intended to reduce unpaid items had resulted in an unintended issue for sellers.
eBay hosts also invited sellers to the March 7th Spring Seller Check-In. “The two hour virtual event will focus on ways to make your eBay Business more efficient with product announcements, feature updates, Terapeak product research support from Tax Act and much more. Plus, the Fashion team will be there to discuss trends and pre loved fashion items for 2024.”
The rebranding of the podcast will happen in a few months, the show hosts revealed.
