Online sellers who use Auctiva to help manage their eBay listings should be aware of a planned outage for this evening. Listings scheduled to post to eBay during the outage will post beforehand.
Shawn Horswill, the General Manager of SaaS platforms at Opensky, which acquired Auctiva from Alibaba last year, told EcommerceBytes that the company is investing in a series of new features to help merchants grow their businesses.
“In order to prepare for this, we are performing system upgrades during tomorrow’s maintenance window,” Horswill said. “Our goal is to make this downtime as brief as possible. We are committed to helping merchants get orders, sell more and grow profitably.”
Here’s the announcement Auctiva made to its customers earlier this week:
“On February 10, 2016, Auctiva.com will be down for about 4 hours starting at 10 p.m. PT as we upgrade our hardware.
“To prevent issues, any listings scheduled to post during our upgrade will post at 9:30 p.m. PT. However, you will not be able to access Auctiva.com and any non-scheduled posting requests (from auto-relist profiles, for example) will fail.
“If you had planned to launch any listings during our downtime, please do so before 10 p.m. PT or after 2 a.m. PT on February 11, 2016.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We know even a brief outage can interrupt your operation, so we’ll do everything we can to make this upgrade as quickly as possible.
“Thank you for your understanding. We’ll let you know once the upgrade is complete in our Community Forums. We’ll also remind you of the outage on Auctiva.com.”
