Markdown manager in Promotions manager
Markdown manager is a tool used by sellers to put items on sale by temporarily discounting them. While it’s always been a stand alone product, we’re now merging this discounting capability into Promotions manager. Just look for Sale event + markdown in the Create a promotion drop down on the Promotions manager dashboard.

  1. My tools were merged yesterday. It is a complete fail! It is quite easy to set up the promotion which is then supposed to create the markdown. However, it is not creating a markdown. Therefore, I have items I wanted to put on sale that I cannot put on sale.

Ebay is “looking into this.” They said they aren’t quite sure why it did not work or how its supposed to work.

I did find that if you have an old sale in markdown manager you can use it to create sales. If markdown manager hasn’t been taken away from you yet, create some empty sales and save them for later. You can edit then when you need to and actually create a sale that works.
