eBay held a Seller Check-in online session last week where it introduced selling tools, and now videos of the presentations are available to all via YouTube, the company announced on Tuesday. In its post on the Seller Announcement board, eBay explained what was new:
“At the event, we announced three exciting product updates that sellers have been asking for. Product Research (formally Terapeak) is coming to mobile – this will allow sellers to research on the go. It will display actual sold prices using keywords, UPCs, MPN, and ISBN. It will be free for all sellers and available on iOS and Android.
“After sellers have picked-up their inventory, it’s time to make it look good. We also announced Background Enhancement on mobile – this tool allows you to select studio-quality photo backgrounds for your items, powered by AI. Additionally we reviewed a seller experience mobile update, some great new shipping options for eBay Standard Envelope, and more.”
eBay also used the event to announce a pilot program called Preloved Partner program, which we reported on in a post on the AuctionBytes Blog on Sunday.
eBay published breakout sessions from the Seller Check-in on YouTube. The announcement board post offers a guide to what’s new and how to view the videos.
Sellers also discussed the news coming out of the Check-in event on this thread on the eBay discussion boards, including debating the pros and cons of the new background tool.
